Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program

The Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program, an official local partner of the national Make A Splash initiative of the USA Swimming Foundation, teaches lifesaving swimming and water-safety skills. The program takes place at the Salvation Army's Kroc Center in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

Throughout the year 2015, the Josias A. Sterling Aquatic Education Program introduced over 200 underserved children to swimming and water safety—free of charge.

All donations and proceeds from the annual Josias A. Sterling Memorial Apple Pie 7s rugby tournament go to fund free swimming lessons at the center.
