There's lots of good rugby being played around the USA, but only a select few have shown the right combination of skill, depth, endurance and strength of schedule to earn a spot in the top 75. Here's where things stand leading up to the ACRC7s in Virginia Beach this weekend.
The ACRC Top 75
- Kutztown - Since Vegas KU has won all tournaments entered - tops in Rugby East
- Indiana - Truly Big Ten Champions with wins in Ann Arbor and Illinios U
- American International College - Speed and power make AIC one of the best in the country (ECRC champion)
- St Joseph's - Keystone champions
- Stony Brook - best in the Empire Conference
- Virginia Tech - ACRL Champion
- Dartmouth - best in the Ivies
- Miami of Ohio - stole the Mid America championship from Bowling Green
- South Carolina - best in the SCRC by our measure
- St. Bonaventure - Rugby East power Bonnies looked strong at Kutztown
- Buffalo - pick 'em between Buffalo and the Bonnies - proved it at KU
- Tennessee - battled USC every weekend all spring
- Temple - Temple played in lots of finals this spring - just behind St. Joes
- Colgate - should be playing post season sevens - great showing in the Empire
- Alabama - wins the SCRC championship
