Penn Women Seek Head Coach

The University of Pennsylvania women's rugby program seeks a head coach, to begin August 2016.

About Penn Women's Rugby

Penn Women's Rugby is a passionate, student-run team with members at all levels of experience. During the competitive 15s season in the fall, they compete in the Ivy League (Ivy Rugby Conference), and during the development season they play both 15's and 7's against a variety of Philadelphia-area teams. Penn is hoping to find a coach who shares their passion for rugby and positive attitude.

Expectations and Responsibilities

A coach would be expected to help plan and run two-hour practices, usually on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. During practice the program aims to help players at all levels grow and develop as athletes, while continuously learning about new aspects of rugby. The coach would collaborate with captains to design effective game plans and strategies. A coach would also be responsible for attending and coaching at all games and tournaments (transportation provided by the team.)

Qualifications

Penn is looking for a coach who has at least Level 200 coaching certification with USA Rugby. Additional certifications are a plus, especially referee. Previous experience as player, referee, and coach required. Stipend to be provided.

Deadline for Applications is July 15, 2016.
