Kutztown Wins at Home over AIC

Predicting an AIC vs. Kutztown final was easy, but for each team it took all they had in the semis to make it to the final match at Kutztown University.

In a bit of a shocker, Kutztown dominated the final against American International College. AIC's Seth Halliman scored first in the opening minute but Kutztown struck right back with tries on two long breaks to take the lead 12-7. Then, Kutztown, camped in AIC's end, pushed over another try to make it 19-7 at the half.

After an AIC knock-on to start the second half - then a penalty, KU's Robert Stortz crashed over for an early second half try and a commanding lead at 24-7. The match settled in with no additional scoring until AIC's Gavin D'Amore-Morrison broke free and scored in the corner as the horn sounded. The final KU 24, AIC 12.

St Bonaventure did more than play Kutztown tough in the first semi-final finally falling 12-5. The Bonnies were a ball bounce away from pulling a huge upset. And Buffalo was right with AIC before the Yellow Jackets put it away in the second half. In the end no one could tackle AIC's Christian Adams.

In the third place match the Bonnies and Buffalo continued to show their worth finishing regulation tied 12-12. In a heated back and forth overtime, St. Bonaventure finally scored in the 6th minute to take the win 17-12.

The 2015 Kutztown 7s was held on April 4, 2015 at Kutztown University. Saturday, KUTV did an awesome job of broadcasting the entire tournament, live, both on local TV and Live Stream.
