Greenwich Rugby came to the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s to win—and win they did. But they got much more out of the trip than just victory on the rugby pitch. At just 17, Mikle Dill has proved that no one is too young to represent their country on the rugby field. Not only did the teenager represent the Bermuda men’s team at this month’s international Ariel Re Bermuda Sevens tournament, he also claimed the honor of being the competition’s top try scorer.

Basketball? What basketball? It was all about rugby at the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s in Hamilton, Bermuda this weekend. Friday night saw some great contests as Greenwich High School edged West Chester, Bermuda Rugby and Dartmouth went 3-0 (though Big Green was sorely tested by Stony Brook) and Kutztown racked up 100 points in three victories before the lights dimmed at the National Sports Centre.

The Ariel Re Bermuda 7s begin on Friday, March 18 at 4:30 Bermuda time (3:30 p.m. Eastern). Pool play runs until 9 p.m. (8 p.m. Eastern). Great matches are on tap for Friday, including Dartmouth vs Norwich, Kutztown vs the Boston RFC Collegians, and Notre Dame College vs St. Joes. In addition to high-profile college matchups, the tournament is an opportunity for high school and college-age players from Bermuda to play against top talent from the U.S.

The Ariel Re Bermuda 7s come to the Bermuda National Sports Center this weekend, March 18-19. An official event of Bermuda Rugby and the Bermuda Tourism Authority, the inaugural two-day sevens tournament will feature pool play on Friday afternoon and evening (3:30p - 9:00p Eastern) with championship matches culminating Saturday afternoon (11a - 5:00p Eastern) March 19.
