ACRC Teams Reach Vegas Cup Quarterfinals, Final Four

Four of the eight teams advancing to the Cup quarterfinals at the Las Vegas Invitational on Friday were ACRC contenders, and two are advancing to the Final Four.

The elite eight included St. Joseph University and Notre Dame College, who played each other in the Quarterfinal round; AIC, who played Lindenwood; and Kutztown, who played Air Force. Rounding out the bracket were Arizona and Utah. All eight earned their stripes in fierce pool play on Thursday that saw perennial contenders such as Wheeling Jesuit and Bowling Green knocked out of Cup contention.

When the dust settled, St. Joe’s had defeated NDC 17-5, and AIC took care of Lindenwood with a huge second half that saw the Yellow Jackets score all 14 of their points after training 0-12 at the half.

Air Force pulled out a big win over favored Kutztown, defeating the Bears by a score of 19-14, and Arizona prevailed over Utah 29-12.
