The date is officially set for the 10th Annual Surfside Sevens. Note the time of 7:00am. Of course, we always strive to make it bigger and better than the year before. One thing will remain the same...We'll all be scorin' at the shore like we first did in 2004.

The theme all along in 2012 has been the people. The people that make our sport great. And with 68 teams playing 110 matches with 14 trophies in 9 divisions there were more people at Surfside 2012 than ever before. The crowd estimated at over 1,500 people was treated to some great rugby and lots and lots of rugby fun.

The Lost Boys, led by Joe O'Brien, took the Surfside Very Open Division for the 2nd year in a row in 2008. Look for the Lost Boys to make yet another appearance in 2011.

After the tremendous Surfsides of 2004, 2005, 2006, we wouldn't have expected any different for 2007. Each year the Surfside winners receive custom Surfside Sevens rugby gear including balls, pint glasses and Tiki trophies. A special thank you goes out to Royall Lyme for their support in 2004, 2005 and 2006. We planned even more for 2007.

July 29, 2006 - Stone Harbor -- Syracuse wins again - shock everyone - except themselves!! Other trophies were picked up by MARFU, Morris, Kutztown U19, the Hibos U19, Flip Flops and Brandywine. Congratulations to all participants. It was an awesome day of rugby!

The second annual Royall Lyme Surfside 7s was held last Saturday at the Rec Center Fields in Stone Harbor. Thank you! MARFU Blue, Sucher Dupers, captained by RAF, Shockers, Second City, White Horse, Lancaster, NYAC all winners! MARFU Blue defeated MARFU Gray 24-19 in the Premier Final.

At the first Surfside in 2004, Surfside raised $1,184 for Pat Culley. Pat sustained a serious spinal injury while playing a Super League match against Boston in May of 2004. 2004 Surfside Passes the Hat for Pat Friends of Patrick Culley Need Your Support to Pass the Hat for Pat.

A last second NOVA try seals PW's fate and KU Trophy as Philadelphia Whitemarsh falls to NOVA in final of 2004 Surfside 7s. NOVA received the KU Trophy for their victory over PW in the MARFU qualifier division.
