Iona accepted the challenge of not only their first trip to the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s tournament, but their first sevens tournament in program history. Although Iona has taken in part in URugby events since 2014, namely the URugby Bowl Series, the team was keen to see what the world of sevens had in store for them. In their first appearance in the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s tournament, the Iona College Gaels brought their A game with a final record of 3-2-1.

Ryan Mather, head of the Bermuda office of Ariel Re, and Waisale Serevi, the greatest sevens player ever, presented awards to the winners of the 2017 Ariel Re Bermuda 7s.

College Pools have been set for the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s in Hamilton at the National Sports Center. Matches start 4:30p Friday, March 17. The Championship round starts late Saturday morning on the 18th.

#Bermuda7s Join Us in Bermuda this spring for the 2017 Ariel Re Bermuda 7s. The tournament is set to hold 4 high school and 12 college sevens teams.

Mikle Dill led an impressive Bermuda Collegians side to a third place finish in the URugby supported 2016 Ariel Re Bermuda 7s. After his outstanding performance, Dill has recently been selected to attend Stellenbosch Rugby Academy to learn and train under the tutelage of some of the best coaches in the world. 

When invited to top-level international tournaments, Atlantis Rugby assembles teams representing the very best the US has to offer. Atlantis has also included accomplished players from other countries. Besides helping them succeed on the field, they can have an important role in developing less-experienced players and helping them achieve success.
