What Basketball? Rugby Makes Big Waves in Bermuda!

Basketball? What basketball? It was all about rugby at the Ariel Re Bermuda 7s in Hamilton, Bermuda this weekend. Friday night saw some great contests as Greenwich High School edged West Chester, Bermuda Rugby and Dartmouth went 3-0 (though Big Green was sorely tested by Stony Brook) and Kutztown racked up 100 points in three victories before the lights dimmed at the National Sports Centre.

The Bermuda 7s Get Underway

The Ariel Re Bermuda 7s begin on Friday, March 18 at 4:30 Bermuda time (3:30 p.m. Eastern). Pool play runs until 9 p.m. (8 p.m. Eastern). Great matches are on tap for Friday, including Dartmouth vs Norwich, Kutztown vs the Boston RFC Collegians, and Notre Dame College vs St. Joes. The Ariel Re Bermuda 7s come to the Bermuda National Sports Center this weekend, March 18-19. An official event of Bermuda Rugby and the Bermuda Tourism Authority, the inaugural two-day sevens tournament will feature pool play on Friday afternoon and evening (3:30p - 9:00p Eastern) with championship matches culminating Saturday afternoon (11a - 5:00p Eastern) March 19.

Blue Hens Relish Return to Sevens Championship Play

Delaware is back. After nearly two years of exile, the celebrated Blue Hens rugby program returned to active competition last summer and wasted no time reasserting itself on the college rugby scene, notching wins in regional 15s competition and scoring a major victory over Iona at the 2015 ACRC Bowl Series.
