Kutztown Wins the 2015 Subaru Sevens

Kutztown University once again dominated the field winning the final 21-5 over the Naval Academy this past Saturday May 16, 2015 on a beautiful day in Alapocas Run State Park just outside the City of Wilmington, Del.

The 14th annual Rugby Delaware Subaru 7s was once again a success with six competitive men's collegiate sides vying for the title.  

Participating teams also included ladies and HS squads. Archmere defeated Salesianum in an exciting contest with Archmere scoring twice in the overtime period to win 28-14. In the Women's bracket, Penn State seemed to win each match with ease rolling past top club team the DC Furies in the final by more than 30 points.

About the Subaru Sevens

The Subaru 7s is home to some of the best sevens rugby in the tri-state area. For high school programs Subaru 7s is the official kickoff of the sevens season in the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Proceeds support the Delaware Rugby Foundation.
